The Old Web Development Model Is Broken

It’s time to change the way we think about maintaining websites. As most often is the case, a client will call on us every few years and say “We need a new website”. This often becomes an expensive and massive undertaking even on a small website because almost every aspect of the site is now outdated. Instead of making minor changes to the site we end up having to throw everything out and start over.

By encouraging this behavior of ‘the four year silence’ as I call it, I don’t feel we are giving our clients the service they deserve or should expect from us. Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church has been a landmark of downtown Green Bay for over 100 years. On December 18, 1908, 19 men and women gathered in a small, drafty, weather-beaten, wooden church on the corner of Madison and Moravian Streets and with the assistance of Reverend Paul F. Hein, the Executive Officer for the Home Mission Board of the Joint Synod of Ohio and Other States, drafted a temporary constitution to create Grace Lutheran Church.

Today the church still stands where it had been founded, in 1915. Grace is involved with many outreach programs within the community and through the ELCA. Read the rest of this entry »
